The art of Thomas Watkiss explores formations of the natural world, the transcendence of color and the behavior of patterns. Autonomous movements in nature and a personal history in environmental organizing serve as inspiration towards a means to disable contemporary fascism. Inspired by both experimental and abstract artists who worked in a similar manner generations before, Thomas creates surfaces of radiant colors with themes of freedom v. surveillance, language v. code and transformation v. permanence. New works are always in the making.
