2. Completion of the ANCESTOR Double LP + photobook VINYL SETS

All contributions go towards funding an exceptional LP (double vinyl) set with enlarged artwork, hand-numbered jackets and delivered to each person that pre-orders long before the press or any store will get it. Help finish the realization of this project. Either select an support tier, support the released phases of the project or pre-order here.

This goal is 1/3 complete. The project is being finished (sound mastering and digital retouching to art at this time) Methods of support:

3. Publication of works on canvas, photographs and travel based on the "sonic memory"

This will include the 100+ paintings and 1000+ photos narrating over a decade of extensive travel and creative development. The book, ideally a hardcover 12" x 12", will serve as a scrapbook of the years, various global settings, projects and pieces made. What wil make this different from other artist catalogs is that the only narration will take place with what albums I was listening to at the time and how music, music culture and record collecting have been a driving force in my creative pursuits thusfar.

This goal is being sorted out and prepared for publication at this time. Methods of support:

4. A new studio space that will be called "Forum"

Forum: A space to serve as an active studio and meeting space, a place for constructing ideas...think start-up incubator meets art studio. The Forum would serve as a constructive workshop for practitioners and professionals, from demonstrator to day-trader, to build dialogue between social divisions and develop solutions in the setting of an art studio, to potentially being implemented in the form of progressive business plans, social campaigns, etc.

This idea is in absolute infancy. The project is being tested for residency applications at this time.

  5. Support a work on canvas

Thomas Watkiss has been an active multidisciplinary artist for nearly ten years producting visual art and vinyl albums evolving around themes of nature, industrialism and iconography. A new shift in the works on canvas requires larger studio space and greater time and effort to achieve the new portfolio.

You may support this endeavour by purchasing a work on canvas from this brochure here Visit the studio here google+ and the blog
